Default putting in Driveshaft with problems

Just finished bolting up the C-beam on my 1994 6spd.

I tried to put in my drive shaft. I marked it before I took it out so I know of trying to match the lines. BUT. it is the splines that are my problem. The part of the shaft that goes into the tranny has that notch to look for. But I looked on the input shaft and didn't see anything in the splines that will match up with the drive shaft? Am I missing something?

k, cause I was wondering what the problem was. Should I lube it a little or will the trans oil keep it lubed?

I will get the right angle on it then shove it in there.

The C-Beam was WAY easier this time. I think maybe cause I had the exhaust off.

Any time you take your drive shaft out for more than a week or two --

(the rear trans shaft gets alittle rusty and the drive shaft doesnt just slide on like when it was lubed)

I just put my transmission in 2 days ago and went thru the same thing.

lube it or force it!

Thanks guys. I will lube it and get her in there. I am excited, this is my last piece of heavier metal to be put in, then I am on to the wires and smalls.

Got her in. Lubed everywhere. Not messy tho. Thanks. I just needed to give it some extra love taps.
