Do a search in C4 Tech ;
there have been plenty of detailed posts in the past as too how to do it , as well as required electronic and trans fixes

I would think that a MEFI module and a manual throttlebody would work. There are drop-in motor mounts and headers spedifically made for your car with a LS engine.
Expect to get creative with the water system and exhaust.
you're going to have to add weight or opt for a custom front spring if you install an aluminum block engine.
Tail dragger corvettes are definitely OUT!!!
Don't know if it would pass smog though. Although Accel has an engine management system for it.

Not sure how helpful it will be for you, but you might want to go to my profile and look at the thread I started entitled "LT1 conversion to LS3 hot cam". That thread will give you some info on what was involved in putting that engine in my '92. It will also take you to my photobucket which has an album named "build of C4orce2". That album has around 30 pics of the build. Hope this helps.
