Default 1992 headlight no go down

I have a 1992 that I replaced the gears on both headlights. They both have been working fine, for about 6 months. However tonight after getting home and running the lights the passenger side will not go down. It is not even trying to move. I can use the thumb wheel and get it started down, does not feel to be in a bind, then bump the lights up then down but still does not move. I can also run it all the way down, manually, and it will come up and work when the lights are turned on but will not come down. Anyone have any suggestions?

possibly the module, or a broken wire, I converted my 87 to 92, its a real simple system. pull the plug and see if you have power to the plug at the same time the other light operates,if so, it would be internal in the motor.

It is my sons car so I will check it this weekend. Where is the module located? Is there a module for each side?

no, only one module for both sides, located in the drivers side headlight area on the wall in front of the tire. those usually but not always , cause both lights to quit, and they're a bit spendy. I'd check the light motor, plug, and continuity first....reread your post, the adjustment *** should move the light freely in both directions , if its not doing that , the problem is inside the motor

**** operates motor very freely in both directions. I will try your suggestions as soon as my son comes home on weekend from college.

Thanks

that explanation of mine sounds pretty symplistic, but thats the reason I and several others , upgraded to the later style lights, they're just that simple.
