sputters like a drunk
On my ride home yesterday I noticed a constant sputtering as if I was riding on a mild washboard. Power and throttle response was ok, but it sure is annoying. It was still going on this morning, at idle and any speed/rpm, no change in the sputter. I'm going out at lunch time to raise the hood and look for obvious things (loose wires, anything hanging off where it should be) but wondered if anyone could suggest some things to look at or possible causes?

No one ventured a guess on this; my question was too vague, for sure.
I started by replacing the plugs (no change) then moved on to the distributor cap; new cap smoothed it right out. Just as a point of reference for amatuers like me who may see this in the future. Cheers! :cheers:
