Re: Porting the Plenum and Runners...torque loss? (XtremeVette)
Jeff, I ported the plenum and the large runners. All I can say is I have no loss in low in torque. The trottle response is incredible on my 90 L98. This car respondes like a rocket. I also have a decent exuast sys. I feel this adds some to the equation also. Hope this helps.
Re: Porting the Plenum and Runners...torque loss? (Da-Cajun)
I had no drag strip gains after porting and polishing my runners and plenum. Others have had the same experience I have. It can't hurt, but the gains will be minimal at best. Good Luck.

From my experiences and from what I have seen out there, on a stock heads/cam motor, there will be no gain from the aftermarket LTR's and ported plenum.
I just installed an Accel base with zero gain (I have stock heads/cam/exhaust manifolds).
Also, I have run numerous 12.9x's with the stock untouched TPI.
