Default Aftermarket ignition wires

I have had 2 different sets that were for LT1 Corvettes and in both of them the coil wire was a couple of inches too short. Is there a difference in the wire length between an LT1 and an LT4? I have an LT4 but I assumed this would be the same.

I've got the red OEM LT4 wires on my LT1 and the fit fine.

When I got the wires at Jegs they were for the LT1 engine. They had nothing that said LT4. The wires are red and were all fine but the coil wire. The GM wires were 185 bucks and the MSD wires were 75 bucks. I guess I'm gonna have to call MSD and inform them of their problem. I wonder if they have ever actually caompared the 2 sets of wires?

When you went to the LT4 wires in your LT1 did you happen to notice if the coil wire was longer on the new set than the original wire?

Magnecor Race Wires. Got em on my LT1 and they fit fine. They send you 2 different length and boot design coil wires incase you need a longer one due to a different routing path. And they are red. :)

My 50 buck Taylors came with two different coil wires. I used the longer one and it fit like a glove...although I had to route it just like the original:)

Work great and look nearly original:)
