I can't seem to find any info anywhere about this thing. Its coming of the rear of my intake manifold. It looks like its coming off of the rear vaccume port. Can I block this off? Is it need? The car is a 84 crossfire. What is it?

Looks like the vacuum for cabin air, it will change doors to blow air to different vents. If you don't care if the cabin air doors work then it's deletable.

That's a three way check valve. There should be 2 vacuum lines coming off it, supplies vacuum from the intake to a/c and cruise control.
Just put on on my 84 after learning it was MIA.
If your not using a/c or cruise control then yes, you can just block it off.

Reason: addtional info
Is there to maintain vac in system ( through the vac ball under drv side headlight ) when engine vac changes
like WOT.
If not in place, vent position would change every time throttle position changed
This vacuum system check valve can be purchased for just a few dollars at NAPA or any of the other parts houses. Just remove it and take it with you when you purchase the new part. This way you will be assured of getting the correct part.
