Default Exhaust Suggestions

Looking for some exhaust suggestions i put a free flowing exhaust on with super 40s and yeah now its pretty annoying. took it on a 600 mile road trip and it got old fast, quieted down at real high speeds tho. I may go back to stock but im thinking of making my own setup first.

heres a pic of what i got.

Maybe a pair of bullet cats will tone it done a little?

I had flows on my C4 when I got it and hated em. Loud almost all the time, and the car has a cat.

Are those pipes from Corvette Central #324445? I'm looking at using the same pipes with eliminators.

Had an 89 with 2.5 catback with cats, Dronemaster Delta flow 50s, supposed to be pretty quiet. Yes much subdued but still droned enough to annoy after awhile. Gave up on FM. Sound good at WOT on the track otehr than that imo they are for kids.

Here's what I am running on my 89, and I think you would be happy with the same set up. I have Hedman long tube headers going into pipes with no bullet cats and each side connects in the middle with a flowmaster resonator, and out to the rear into Corsa mufflers. When just cruising around town, the sound is quite subdued. You can carry on a conversation easily, or listen to the radio. Even at highway speeds, the noise level is low, and there is no drone sound at any speed.
However, when you go to WOT, the system wakes up and really sounds great!

Since I don't see the system installed, I will say make sure the tips extend beyond the edge of the bumper. That is a source of resonance. The other thing is to make sure that the exhaust is not touching the body. (except at hangers, and then only in factory positions) And check the hangers-I found a bolt in mine was too long, and was hitting the body.
