The guy at NAPA told me that they are now recommending changing the oxygen sensors every 30000 miles on all cars. What do you guys think? How do I know if mine should be changed out? My car has 35000 miles on it. Is it due?
sounds like sales pitch. Along the lines of Jiffylube recommending oil changes every 3000 miles. Pretty soon it'll be every 1000 miles.
Anyways, on mine, an O2 sensor is cake to change. Ridiculously easy to swap. I hate to say it, but I don't change until it goes bad.
I had a Napa Crapa O2 sensor. It stuck to the lean side shortly after purchase.Which, sinse I had just changed it, I kept thinking, "my problem couldnt be that".
I got a chevy one now and all is better. For how long?I dont know.
I recommend not buying anythng sensor related from anyone but chevy. They set the standard higher for manufacturers.
