I'm in the process if restoring my vette, just got it back from the paint shop. Here are my questions:
1. What size are the bolts holding the sending unit to the gas tank? Mine all rusted and broke and need to be replaced.
2. Is there a way to replace the rubber portion of the gas lines? The last couple of times I have changed the fuel filter I have noticed tons of black crap coming out, I'm thinking the ethanol is eating the fuel lines. There is a crime much like a hydraulic hose where the rubber line connects to the steel line.
3. When putting on the black belt trim, do I need to use double sided tape? I noticed in some areas there was some, in others nothing.
I'll try...#1 most of the bolts on a vette are 8mm, 10mm...#2 most of the venders sell complete kits... #3 most of the original molding doesnt had 2 sided tape, its held on with nuts and studs out of the back side of the molding, double sided tape will work if the studs are broke off or its aftermarket.

#1 There are nine 10 mm bolts that hold the cover onto the fuel tank.
#2 As mentioned above, there are kits that have the ethanol proof fittings. You should attend to this ASAP.
#3 Only the side mouldings on the doors have double sided tape on them in addition to the nuts on each end. All the other trim is held on with the 8mm nuts.

to clarify on #1, I was wondering the actual bolt size, length, and thread size so that I buy replacements, as all of the bolts broke off in the old tank.
