Opening day today at Route 66 raceway here in Joliet, IL. Man was it packed!!! I had to wait two hours just to get a run in! Personaly I'm a little dissapointed but, hey there's always next time. Alright, tell me what you guys think. This was my best run out of two:
Really that is not bad, you were within 3 tenths of what it should be capable of N/A - and most of that e.t. reduction will probably be found in technique. In a packed track it can be hard to get a feel for the car, and the track operator's need to keep the lanes moving in a crowd means that the track surface probably did not get as much prep for good consistent traction.
Just to be honest I don't think you'll be seeing any 11's out of a 150 shot. That is a pretty good N/A time for the L98. That's right up there on par with stock LT1 performance.
Just be careful with the NAAWWS and don't blow anything up.
That 102mph trap speed is pretty strong (~280hp) and your short time is pretty good; I'm surprised the ET isn't in the low 13s too.
Vic'89 and I have similar trap speeds (103+mph) and he runs 12s/13s with converter, DRs & 3.07s while I run low 13s on streets with stock converter & 2.59s.
What are your shift points? Maybe you need to stay in the lower gears a little longer, especially if an A4.
Anyway, I hope opening day was fun. I realy enjoyed my first day back this season.
