I was hearing some whining from the throw out bearing so I decided to replace it. My 95 six speed coupe has 89 k on her so while I was in there the flywheel and pressure plate looked scorched so I replaced everything. New billet flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch plate, pressure plate and throw out bearing.
Now when I get the RPMs in the power band 3k to 5k the vibrations could jar my fillings out.
The Da%#%#^m thing ran well except for the whining throw out now I would trade that whine for my power band back.
The DM was thrown out I am now looking for a DM to replace it
Anyone know where I can get a DM? or something that will re-balance the LT1
What weight?
Do you mean the following?
That was not on a DM plus it had already been weighted as per the drawing where as the billet FW was 0 balanced.

The procedure in the thread you reference is nothing more than a final trim weight for the occasional engine that was slightly out of balance.
The dual mass has a 30g weight cast into it. The single mass flywheels come with a weight that you can bolt in place in order to match the DM balancing. Without the weight, the SM flywheels are neutral.
The area circled in red is the cast in weight on the engine side of the DM flywheel. The black [roughly] rectangle shape with the 3 bolts is the equivalent weight that bolts to the engine side of a SM flywheel.
If this is truly the error, you will make very short order of your main bearings. I would park the car.
Just confirmed order from SpecClutch for SC05S with extra weighted SM flywheel!!
Thanx TONS.
Now How much if any damage to the mains? Only have about fifty miles on the change with very little in the power band due to the reaction when I did.
As long as your oil pressure still looks ok and you have no knocking sounds, the engine is fine. I would still avoid driving it until you've addressed the balance issue.
