Temp reads high?
Ever since I got my car I thought I had a 192 thermostat just like the 86. When I cruise down the road the temp goes up to about 192 or 193 then drops down to a low of about 188 before starting the little climb back to 192. Thought nothing about it, except I wanted to lower it, until I read a couple of threads that said the 96 came stock with a 180 thermostat. Still didn't think much about it.
Today I bought a 180 thermostat and put it in the car. The temp readout says the same thing. Runs up to about 192 or 3 and then comes down that little. So, I figure the car is reading about 10 degrees high.
Is there anyway to adjust this or do I just live with it? I did check in front of the radiator and while there are a few leaves in there not enough to cause any rise in temp.
