Front hubs are going out and I am looking for new one and I just about had a cow(literally) when I saw the prices on hubs now. I bought my rears 3 yrs ago for $124 ea (acdeleco), now they are over $300.
Now that I vented, any tips on replacing the front?

it's a straight forward job. Jack up the car take off the tires, remove the sensor, remove caliper (hang it on the upper ball joint/a arm), remove the bracket and rotor, then the remove hub. Clean out the knuckle and re-assemble. I re-use the caliper bracket bolts, re- apply some blue lock-tite and torque them to 155 ft.lbs. (if I remember the hub torque spec was 45 ft.lbs but re-check in your FSM).
You might also consider NOS units from corvette recycling ($200.00 for the front unit). I've use both their front and rear units with no complaints. I must point out however that I do not race my car.
Not to hijack but.... Someone did an in depth look at interchangeability in GM hubs. found several interchanges for hubs at a much reduced cost. Does any body recall that post? It was maybe 2 years ago.
