Default Strange Drive train roughness

When I take off hard from a dead stop about 20-25 mph There is a slight drive train roughness. I feel it in the seat then again at the top of secong gear.ITs not really a roar though more like a rough sounding bearing roar. Never does it under normal driving. Makes a roughness in the drive train. I was afraid it could be the tranny or converter. Any ideas on this one.I checked the Tranny fluid and it looked NEW. No burnt smell but I wonder now why it was so new looking. Someone changed it for a reason maybe.

Check Both Rear Half Shaft U-joints.
There are 4 of them total.
The rear half shaft u-joints work especially hard in all C4's.

You likely have the original Halfshaft U-joints still intact on your car.
The factory grease dries up eventually from many years of use.

Jack both rear wheels off the ground and support the car with jackstands for safety while checking.

The rear halfshaft U-joints are of Dana 1350 series.
Very strong.
But they do get tired some year down the road.

Also check the (term?) dampner on the front of the driveshaft, its bonded on I understand. One on an 89 I had did the same thing only under hard accel. It was about to flling itself off the shaft.
