Default old school rally's on a c4--?

Ive decided that a set of rally wheels would look real good on my '85 any one know if they will fit ? Im talken about the 15' rally's that were used on the c3. I don't really want to spend the money on a set of custom built wheels say from WHEEL VINTIQUES but I might if I have to. Im guessing to get the correct backspaceing and brake caliper clearance Im probly going to have to spend the money on a custom set. I would still stay with 16' wheels. has any one else tried doing this ? ( I mean putting the 15 " steel rally's on a c4) ...... I would really like to see a picture of a c4 with rally's on it

i believe the 16" rims are required to clear the disc brakes, offset would be "off", and it would look "unfortunate". howzat fo politicly correct?

I seen a C3 that had 18" corvette rallies. I forget the company that made them, But I'm sure a quick google search will find them.

They made them in 14" to 18" and from 6" to 11" wide. They look just like the old school corvette rallies except better because of the size.

Default C4 with 15x7 rallys

I know this is an old thread, and not sure if the original author accomplished this. I just purchased an 85 and also considering retrofitting 15" rallys. In my investigating I have discovered that 15's will definetely clear the rotors and calipers ( the 84 vette was scheduled to come with P215/65R15's). The factory 16x8.5's with 255/50zr16's sit 4" proud of the wheel hub. Wheel Vintiques offers a 15x7 series 30 rally with 4.5" backspacing which would leave 2.5" proud of the hub. I was planning on either 235/60r15 radial T/A's or 215/65R15 radial T/A's or Michelin Defenders. My car is 100% touring with my wife, so max lat G's are not a concern, ride comfort and wet traction more so. One of my factory wheels is tweaked, so between a replacement wheel and a set of new BFG Gforce sport comps I'll be into it for at least a grand. I like the classic rallys for their good looks and ease of maintainence, so heading down that track. I've seen a couple of pics of C4's with the 69-82 15×8 rallys (4" bacspace) and they hang too far out of the wheelwells. Hopefully my idea will not.

You should of started a new thread.

Here is what I did with my 86, my 235/60/R15 are drag radials and the BFG were a bit wider than the M/T SS I have now.
