Anyone notice if Hypertech PPIII progamming process causes codes H41, H72?
Because those two codes keep showing up after I use my Power Programmer III to program my ECM. All I use it for right now is to program the radiator's cooling fans to come on at 213 F instead of stock 230 F. When I put my ECM back to stock program for a trip to dealer shop on GMPP warranty (not sure if they would mind the Hypertech program stored, but better safe than sorry IMHO) the codes didn't show up. After I got the car back I programmed the fans again and now it shows H41 under the "1." section and H72 under the "9." section. If I clear the codes and drive the car they don't come back even though the Hypertech program is still resident in the ECM (cooling fan activation temp).
So it SEEMS like maybe something about the *programming process* itself might cause these two codes to crop up, not having the Hypertech program resident in the ECM.
Going to keep an eye on it and report back if anything changes...
