Default Bolt on n2o kits

What is the best kit for the price? How Big can i go on my ZZ4 crate engine without hurting anything? What ignition box do I need with the kit? My car runs 8.4 1/8mile so how much can I shave off this?

It depends on if you want a dry kit or a wet kit or direct injection. Is this a manual or automatic car, do you have stock headers and exhaust, what size shot do you plan on using. It all depends on those questions.

100-125 hp is safe to run on a stock engine. If there are mechanical issues with the engine, the NOS will highlight those problems faster.

Try summit racing for prices on kits. Pick the one that has the features you like. There is not a lot involved in a nitrous kit. A bottle, some solenoids and a spraybar or nozzle.

Ignition box is not a bad idea, but not a requirement.

To estimate how much the kit will improve your performance, find an online hp to 1/4 mile calculator.

Nice, Im running a 175 shot on my stock l98 with 1 5/8 headers. I just crank up the fuel pressure and retard the timing. It runs fine, also the motor has 225,xxx miles on it I ran the NOS plate on my car. It works great but i think they are kinda expensive.

What kit are you running? my fuel pressure is turned up all the way right now, I think it is 52 psi. Are you running an ignition box? Are you able to get traction when you spray?

I am tired of all the cheaters at the track spraying on me.

I'm not running a box, I'm using push button(which is actually my horn, I have a switch that switches it from honking to spraying ) I have a manual car so I'm spraying 3rd through 4th. I don't want to spray at the tree because motor has high milage so traction isn't a problem for me . Here is a few pics of my kit on the car and a link to a vid.

I ran the nitrous line under the car and tied it the the fuel line so you don't see it and it's out of the car. I then put the line in the back storage bins with the n20 bottle back there. It makes it sneaky

It slides in but it sticks out a bit. if you used a smaller bottle it would easily fit and close. I'll go take some pics.

You have a supercharger and n2o? How do you control detonation with all that force induction if you don't run an ignition box? You dont use a tank heater either? What NOS kit are you using?

They don't make my setup anymore. My father's friend had it laying around in his garage brand new and gave it to me. I think it was a $500 kit back in the day.

I know i wish I had a smaller bottle. Especially since i can't sneak the bottle past the car inspection at the track without leaving it at my parking spot but it works either way A smaller bottle would be a perfect fit in my opinion. I think I'm going to incorporate the bottle into my Sub box design.

I have a 10 lb. and a 5 lb. bottle and neither fit in my compartments such that I could close the lid. I ended up mounting the bottle so the neck lined up with the frame of the roof panel when it was sitting in the back so I could keep the bottle in place with the roof off. All you can easily see of the bottle with the roof stored in the hatch is the valve. I managed to make the rest of my system relatively invisible. The main line runs inside the car under the carpet and all engine bay hoses have split-loom over them. The solenoids are out of the way under the AC pump and are covered by a metal plate. I should post a picture of the engine bay and see if anyone can spot the nitrous stuff!

My friend put the sticker next to the switch, I thought it was pretty funny so I left it.

Instead of "Go Baby Go" it should say "In case of Turbo, push button"
