Should I re-program the PCM???
The engine mods are; Accel 300+, MSD wires, open-lid, K&N, Holley 52mm TB, ported intake, ported LT4 heads, GMPP hot cam, Hooker shorties, flowmaster cat back.
The question is: do I need to have the PCM re-programmed?
If it will get me even more power then I have no problem doing it, but, it is running very good now. Of course I could be wrong, since I have not driven the car in over a year. The only issue that I have noted is the exhaust has a slight rotten egg smell. I have heard this can be caused by running lean.
There are currently no DTC's being set or any other PCM problems. Any advice would be appreciated.
Rotten eggs sounds like bad cats.
I had Brian reprogram my LT4's PCM for my gears/fans/tuning. While I was there, I watched him tack on 12RWHP to a 95 LT1 with LT4 HOT cam (dyno tuning at Speed Inc). I'd give him a call, he's in the Chicago subarbs.
