Default Magna Flow converters

Just wanted to post my opinions of my new Magna Flow cats I put on my 94 6speed. I was really in the market for some long tubes to replace my Hooker shorties and my cat eliminator pipes that feed my Corsa system. Without cats it was just loud and obnoxious to be honest. Being honest with myself I knew that even adding longtubes was not going to make it that much faster. I chose the MF cats because I can get them thru my distibutor pretty cheap and tax free. I like the fact they are stainless and I had a lot of luck with a MF cat back on my 99 Z71. Bottom line is I love them. They flow very nicely and installed easily. I feel like I have a little more bottom end which I am going to attribute to the old eliminator pipes being pretty choppy and far from smooth on the inside. The MF pipes quiet it down a bit and all but eliminated that pop & cackle that was there. The old eliminator pipes didn't seat well on the shortie collectors so there was always an annoying as hell leak that was more pronounced when in higher gears at low RPMs and WOT. If you are in the market for new cats for your shorties or stock manifolds, take a look a these.
