Default Issues please look.

Ok so I was driving to work everything was good to go. I get off the interstate and stop at a light. When I went to take off the engine sounded like a wrx boxer engine. I can smell fuel and the car is ironing like crap and has reduced power. No check engine lights oil pressure is good cooling temp is normal. No signs of a fuel leak

It's consuming gas at an alarming rate a quarter tank in 40 miles.

Blown 383 stroker upgraded everything.

Default I'm not much help - sorry

But I would check everything underhood - did something come loose - maybe that you didn't notice at first? Have you made any changes recently - what was the last thing you fixed/ messed with
Haven't heard of sudden unusual fuel consumption with loss of power - without any other lights/warnings signs etc
Not sure if you have one / added or not - the return fuel line - could it have come loose - ?
I'm sure some more experienced folks will help you figure it out!!

A quarter tank in 40 miles? That's not running rich (it
would not run), it's a leak which is FIRE HAZARD.

And what do you mean by "ironing" and "wrx boxer"??
Speak English.

Thanks for the helpful information Chuck. I appreciate it. I fat fingered the keys on my iPhone. you know what they say, "Once ya learn good English can't nobody change ya".

The facts are as follows. I drove 40.1 miles and consumed 1/4 tank of unleaded premium fuel.

The car still runs but sounds rough like a boxer engine found in the Subaru WRX. The engine I speak of is a horizontally opposed piston internal combustion engine. There are no external fuel leaks. I had the car towed home last night. I will run further test on Wednesday and Thursday to determine and correct the cause of the malfunction.

Almost sounds like you cat has become clogged which I believe can happen if your fuel is running rich for a long time.

My vote is for the FPR. Seems most likely based on symptoms.

When you ask for help, always include the year, no one here is clairvoyant.

I guess so.

For what it's worth the car is a 2002 ZO6

I actually didn't mean to start this thread here.
