Hi everyone, I have a 91 coupe with the stock radio. My vehicle was struck while parked last December (minor damage passenger rear). The car went to the bodyshop and after the work was complete I have a radio problem where the radio powers on but the readout and sound goes on and off intermittantly (flashes). The antenna goes up - The bodyshop attempted to troubleshoot but had no luck - they even went as far as replacing the entire power antenna with a new OEM power unit - still no luck.
Before I go to a radio guy - big bucks i'm sure - can anyone offer advice? Thanks.
Your body shop has little or no knowledge of electricity. Replacing
the antenna when the readout goes dead intermittently. I agree with
oldalaskaman that a bad ground is a good bet. Or a bad power supply.
Are problems related to going over a bump?
