Retard boxes
Do I need to run a retard box if I am going to run a 100hp shot or less? My car is a 1990 L98 with a zz4 crate engine, you can see my mods in my profile. Our cars have a knock sensor so if I get detonation would the ECM retard the timing automatically ?

You need to pull 2-3 degrees of timing for 100hp shot. If you are only using it at the track, then just back off your timing for racing and put it back before you go. If using on the street (not recomended), then you might want to consider a retard box and remote bottle opener for "on demand" use.
