PCM sync is intermittent. It will record, then stop, recycle, then record etc etc.

evice manager has USB to serial settings as
9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, parity none, stop bits 1, flow control none.
Advanced settings: receive and transmit 4096, latency time 1 msec, minimum read/write 0, and serial enumerator only box checked.
Datamasters settings: y car auto
Serial data acquisition box, when trying to record , Under advanced under options, Serial communication timing left to right, 180 180 500 and 1 (last is ALDL link timing.
Any idea where to start. Old laptop worked fine but crashed hard. New laptop is same OS, just newer.

Still, sounds like the timing issues that plague 90's (until you get all the numbers perfect, a 90 does exactly what you describe, known problem for just that 2 years). Something in your new PC isn't timing the same as the old one, might be a poor quality USB port, firewall settings, IRQ conflicts yada yada yada...

This laptop has the same software etc, same OS as my last one, so why it doesnt work is beyond me.
The only difference is the version of TTS. This is 4.0, and the last was 3.4
