lost opti to coolant
It dumped coolant right onto the opti and its connector. Fixed the hose and car started right up, fast forward a few hours and I am driving home on the highway and the tach starts bouncing everywhere and then the engine shuts off and I am thinking 2 breaks in one day.
Open the hood, car is dry as a bone, tow the car home (by the way, had have it towed back to work after the first time) and think the insides are toast, so I order another opti and Saturday replaced the old one( 45 minutes) and let the car sit over night, as I put sealant on the bolts, car now runs great.
Opened up the old opti and it is dry and no signs of corrosion or coolant, take a good look at the connector and I see a lot of corrosion around the pins.
So how do you protect the opti connector from coolant?
I had put vacuum hose on and sealed the outside, but how do you protect the connector.
So for the long sob story.
