Thank you for all the info about the TOB. If I could I would just straight up grab your set up, but it isn't in the cards right now...

We need video of this thing, I bet it has a very snappy kick to a throttle blip.

I got to hear it on track this past weekend, and it sounds incredible! Too bad the alternator went dead right when Matt was dialing the car in and getting faster.

What size injectors and fuel pressure are you running?

I've had a few pm's asking for more details on the engine so here goes;

New GM block from Pace Performance. (4" finished bore w/cam bearings installed)

Scat 4340 forged crank (3.48")

Scat 6" forged I beams with 7/16" arp bolts

SRP Professional series piston kit -5cc (comes with rings and pins)

HSR, 48mm TB, 24 lb. SVO injectors, Hot Cam

Hooker 1.75" exhaust w/ 3" exhaust

TPIS CNC 113 heads with 60 cc chambers

That dyno sheet was required for me to run this past weekend so there was zero tuning that took place. I'm guessing it will be around 46 psi on the fuel and 12* advance on the timing when I get it dialed in.

** I have a 2.75" hi rise hood so this will not fit under a stock hood unless you buy (or make) the HSR shorter.

Matt

Considering what the factory advance is, it's suprising that 12-deg adv would get your optimum power. (not a challenge, just observation).

Guess you'll have to get milder ported heads to stay under your power limit! LOL

What's your compression with 5cc reliefs? Did you have the chambers worked over to get a couple extra cc's? Maybe part of TPIS's porting?

I bet there's another 20HP there -- with tuning.

How do ya like the HSR so far?

BTW,,,LOOKS GREAT!

367 rwhp / 374 rwtq

Lets just say it has more potential and I need more ballast.

I just read this thread for the first time, and your numbers are almost identical to mine. Crazy...

I agree. The HSR seems like a very good all around intake. How long are the runners?

It is. In some people's opinion, the BEST gen1 intake. (very similiar in length to the LS setups.)

Stock TPI manifold ...................8” ...............runners 11.25”................ cylinder head 6”.............total 25.25”
Accel super ram manifold.......... 8”................runners 7.00”.................. cylinder head 6”............ total 21.00”
Holley stealth ram manifold ...........................runners 6.26” ................ cylinder head 6”............ total 12.26”
Edelbrock performer RPM .............................runners 6.00”.................. cylinder head 6”............ total 12.00”
Edelbrock Victor Jr .......................................r unners 5.50”................ cylinder head 6”............ total 11.50”

Taken from webarchive of www.stealthram.com/flowcomparison.html

The 8" entries on the TPI setups are the base measurements.

"The 8" entries on the TPI setups are the base measurements."

Interesting. I had always thought the base had a runner length of about 6.125" going by the info I have seen. The SuperRam runners I am working on appear to be around 5" in length when I measured them. I used the piece of solder method and laid it out along the center line of the runner and checked both sides. The plenum is about .250" thick and the gasket about .060". If you want to add in the two gaskets than maybe a total of 5.375" from the intake base to the top of the plenum going by what I calculated.

The reason I did this was to try and match the total runner length to the 3rd harmonic wave and his dyno graph. I only shortened the total runner lengh 1". His AFR 195 heads are about 5.333" long.

Edit: With my curiosity up and went out a measured the runners wondering how they could have come up with 7" measurement. The closest I could do is measure the very outside back casting wall and I came up with about 6.750". That is a far cry from the center line of the port itself where it should be measured. So, something fishy about those numbers on that website.
