I'm trying to hook up the coolant lines on a 95 engine. Its been put in an 87 body and I'm using the 87 radiator without the surge tank. The water pump has four ports. The two bigger ones that go to the radiator.
Then there is the two smaller ports that are on the passenger side of the car. From a diagram I dug up from online, they hook up to the heater core (one inlet and one outlet). Is this correct?
Or are those part of the steam system?
Also bypassing the throttle body. Can I just block off those lines completely, or does one of the lines on one side go into the engine, to where I have to have coolant flow through the Throttle body hoses?
You made me go to the garage for this one. (And glad you did.) Yes, the smaller ones are the heater core. My '92 is plumbed different (only three fittings) than the LT4, so it looks like I will be ordering a hose for that swap.
Steam system? I have a bleeder valve on the upper connection to burp the system. Is that what you mean?
For the bypass, I have not heard of blocking off the lines, but rather connecting them together and not going through the TB.
