I purchased this exhaust and it’s going on this weekend. Seems to be good quality it’s made of 14 gage aluminized steel and supposed to hook up to the stock hangers.

Which mufflers did you chose?

I’ll be running eliminators unless it’s too noisy for my liking. They were fine with the stock exhaust.

If you still have the cats in the original exhaust they quiet it a lot. I have the pre cats replaced with straight pipe and the main cat hollowed out with worn out stock mufflers and it is loud. Please let me know as you get this done I am very interested in the outcome. Thanks

I believe this is the same system I looked into a few years back. It looks decent, but the only thing that kept me from getting it is that it has 2.25" pipes. This would still be a huge improvement over our stock sytems, but I wanted 2.5" pipes for a motor upgrade in the future.

I ended up with a custom SS 2.5" system, but if I were doing it again I'd look into the new Pypes dual exhaust system. It's 2.5" mandrel bent SS. Its a little more expensive at $576, but it comes with their Race Pro mufflers and stainless tips.

The Pypes system is actually $690.90 with the down pipes added but yes a very nice system too.

I didn't buy that also because of the 2.25" size. The Pypes stuff looks well done.

Good point. I have headers so I didn't consider the downpipes.

Well they said it would bolt up to the original hangers and it does other then the fact that the front hanger which they give you a new one (thank goodness because mine was rusted through) had to be put in reverse of the original.
After having to take the drivers side manifold off to drill out a broken stud I have the system on but didn't have a chance to hear how it sounds.
Turns out my eliminators are the same size as the pipes so I’m trying to find a reducer that will work. Ideally I need a 2 ¼ id to fit over the new pipes x 2 1/8 od to fit inside the eliminators but am unable to locate that size.
It’s not right but I may have to go with a straight pipe 2 1/8 od to fit inside both the new pipe and the eliminator to make it work.

Easy fix go to your local parts store and get band clamps for like 10 buck each.

I have the CC kit with no cats and the Magnaflow mufflers. Works good for me. Not too loud, but kind of trucky in my opinion. I will be adding cats later, but that is due to emissions, not sound.

From what I gather dual 2.25 pipes is plenty of pipe for a mild 350. Larger just makes it louder unless you got a serious engine.

I would be a little bit worried about the unit. It will be loud without the cats. Also with aluminized steel in WI? I would go with T304 or at least T409. I noticed that my SLP system that was 409 "rusted" a bit and then stopped. I don't usually care about the exhaust system as far as looks go. I am more of a performance kind of person but in WI, aka Saltland.....

I've had this system for about 4 years now. Love 'em and no problems. Factory fit. I am running flomasters with them. Video at the bottom.

Muzimanwi I finally fired it up yesterday and WOW what a difference the engine can actually breathe. Although I did put an HSR on at the same time. This system seems like it will work just fine but I think I will be getting mufflers for it. It’s a bit louder then I would like with the eliminators.
