Default crossfire to TPI

would converting my 84 to tpi be hard? what would i need to change or add to harness, does cpu need to change as well as fuel pump? any input would be great.

You can do it but wouldnt be worth it imo. Thought about using a converted LT1 intake maybe? Greater gains.

There is an aftermarket Crossfire intake or two out there that look promising, can always port your stock one too.

A couple guys on here have done it with good results. Stock TPI wont do much for you but aftermarket TPI will. I think 383 went with a Superram and maybe QWS did a Holley SR. I may have the wrong user names here but both have been done.

Crossfire to tpi (SuperRam). Accel dfi computer. Well worth it.

what about wiring?i was running high 12's before i took it apart w/ a carb but now want to go with FI. How is the wiring conversion with that superram?

388 Roller with a HSR here. No major changes to the wiring harness. I used the main harness in the 84. I have a 40 some page thread on SV about the change.

DO not waste your money just doing stock TPI.

I went from the x-fire to a carb and then to the SuperRam. Since my harness was pretty much out, I didn't use much of the stock stuff with the Accel gen 6 computer. New fuel pump needed. qws has the ideas you probably are looking for.
