New alternator?
I just had my C4 intake manifold worked on yesterday and was told that now I need a new alternator. Does anybody know what signs and symptoms I should be noticing if I do infact need a new alternator?

voltage would drop, lights inside would be dimmer than they are supposed to be and would surge from time to time

Yea, 11v sounds a bit low...it should be charging your battery at 14.7v...you can take it autozone and they will test if for free..can't beat that....however, I would go the extra $ and buy a good one (not autozone) like from the GM dlr..you generally get what you pay for, you know? :yesnod:
