Default LT4 with automatic tranny swap

Eric Fischer performed a swap around Mid 2002 for Bill Fischer. He put an automatic transmission behind an LT4. Does anyone have any technical specs, web links, documentation, or etc on how this was done?

I don't care if people think it's stupid. that's not the point of this post. I would just like to see what was involved for the swap to work, especially any wiring changes.

If he used a C4 700R4,
the M6 to A4 swap would be pretty straight forward.

Others may remember how Eric Fisher did the swap exactly.
They will chime in with details.

DO the reverse of a auto to ZF6 swap.Use the link for some Help.I might have a auto brake pedal and console shifter.
I would use a 700r4 with a Kick down cable.Youll need a auto driveshaft and tranny to diff connector .

Wrong
All you need is a reg 27 spline GM (PG /TH350 ) yoke on the driveshaft to replace the 32 spline ZF6 one.
Nothing else changes unless you swap in D36 rearend

A LT4 is essentially a LT1 engine with special heads so fitting a auto behind one would be no different than the factory fitted auto in the LT1 cars.
All stock factory parts and as noted ,mods to the console to fit the shifter

Thanks. My 91 has a modified 700r4 already in it. The original L-98 has been removed, but everything else is still there.

Thanks for the link!

I have a turbo 400 tranny, but am planning to use my modified 700r4 that is already in the car.

Thanks for the info.

Yes...I knew the LT4 differences. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to find some sort of "unknown surprise" before I completed this thing.

Thanks for the "heads-up."
