Playing with my new GoPro HD Hero Motorsports Camera.... its pretty cool. You can mount the camera just about anywhere. For those looking to videotape their racing, I recommend the GoPro HD.
Here's a short GoPro video where I'm out testing one of the new tunes sent to me by Mick (mseven).... the tune is getting closer to being where I want it. Get a little rubber at literally 1/2 throttle at somewhere around 55 mph.
The GoPro HD I ordered came with a super duper suction cup of some sort with a multi-adjustable arm and then a waterproof case attached to it. I'm not sure, but I think I could mount it on the front hood and it would stay on.
But, who knows, maybe the first time I try it at 100+ mph speeds it'll fly off. I'll be trying it at the strip in the coming weeks.
Sounds good with no visible smoke. That's a good sign. I kind of expected to see some black stripes following the car, but I imagine these will be soon to come.
The motor isn't quite right yet since I put it back together the 2nd time....but its nothing, I just haven't had the time to mess around with it much. If I floor it, it'll hesitate before going..... but, I'll figure it out. In that video, I'm just holding it in 2nd gear and doing a few quick 1/2 to 3/4 throttle snaps..... the video didn't show it, but it was snapping hard... the last one, I held an extra second or so. I've done it before and the tires just let go completely at that speed. Sound isn't very good, I assume because of where I have the camera at, but not sure.
I actually wanted to put it on the dyno yesterday and get some information for you.... it was the first weekend day in several months that I had absolutely no responsibility. Local shop with a dyno wasn't picking up the phone though, I assume they're out on the holiday weekend..... go figure.
Think that one will get into the 9's? I'm converting mine to E85. I have seen some good gain on just the corn fuel alone. Buddy picked up 2 tenths by doing the swap.

I doubt it gets into the 9's with the current mild set-up, but will run mid to low 10's when I get it dialed in and hooking-up. But, of course, you never know.... I'll be trying to prove myself wrong.
However, a future upgrade to a sr cam and looser converter should get me a single digit timeslip.
btw, for those interested in the GoPro HD camera, here is the video that sold me..... all sorts of placements in this video, high resolution and wide angle.
Its pretty fun to play with.... I've got some more lively video I'll put up on another day... on one of them, the rear-end was going from one side of the road to the other at fairly high speed.... makes for interesting video.
Here is a video of a fella who attached his GoPro to his wheelie bar..... thats an interesting viewpoint.
That is awesome. The one with the wheelie bar wondering how he got the sound so clear usually they distort like that.
Motor sounds like fun...rolling burnouts like that is what everyone hopes their car will do with their first H/C swap
Keep at it and post up.
My next video I'll open it up a bit for you.... that was just a leisure Sunday drive.
On the wheelie bar, that was what kind of amazed me a bit.... the sound and the clarity. On the sound, not sure why it sounds so clear, mine doesn't..... I think there might be some sort of audio setting I need to set, but not sure.
