1990 Bad injectors ?
Who do call>?
Jon @ FIC
fuel inj connection
see the youtube videos under "fuel injectors".
Even good ohms test does not mean the inj are spraying ok. The stock units get dirty and drip fuel instead of spray,.
Your new FIC inj will come with all gaskets and O-rings.

A couple tips...
find some long extensions, 1/4" for a 1/4 torx bit to get to the left rear runner bolt and the rt front...Each side has ONE bolt in backwards...so don;t go crazy trying to yank the runners off..
I am kind of bored with torx, so I have a full set of allen heads ready to replace my torx bolts the next time I have reason to tear into the intake again...
Great time to clean the EGR valve port, and test the EGR. A simple vac will tell you if it works or not by watching the diaphram, you can just suck on the vac hose and thats enough for it to move.. Inspect and wrap/tape up the harness sections on the firewall. General housekeeping with the plenum and runners out of the way.
Assemble the O-rings with Vasoline or whatever Jon has in his notes. I like vasoline because it melts away instantly when the engine starts. Once the injector is "set" in the rail and the manifold, avoid twisting it around. The Bosch III are slightly shorter than your stock injector so the runners will be trapped behind the rails after this. The Bosch also have the "F" word
stamped in the plastic body but it comes off with a grinder..
When reinstalling the rails and seating the set of injectors, they are not set until there is an obvious pop or hard snap, as they pop into place together. It sometimes takes jumping on the rail fairly hard to get them to snap in place. Be careful with the fuel rails twisting around when they are off the intake...this wrecks the new O-rings between the tubes and rails.
As soon as you bolt the rails down, and connect the fuel lines, turn the key ON to charge the rails with fuel pressure. Look Carefully for ANY leaks at this point...its wayyyy better to find the leaks at that time, than after the whole mess is assembled and has to be torn apart..

I also wipe a thin coat of never-seize on the runner gaskets so they don;t get stuck to the runner flange or plenum. This is a time saver for next time, and the gaskets can be used again because they do not tear.
The new inj do not have a retainer clip, so don't worry about that. Its noted in the instructions.
Check out some youtube videos on the swap...some good info there and one even times the job...took me about 1/2 a day in the driveway. If you're short, thats a plus...if you;re 6' or more...it's gonna hurt.
Took me a month to stand straight again

Enjoy !
