Question on plugging a muff pipe to lower resonance
I remember reading about a few folk who plugged one outlet on each muffler to lower resonance. What did you use? I want to find something that I can also remove easily. I had to ask this after droning around today on slow speed roads-right in that resonace rpm band with my borlas.....Huh? Whatcha say?........
I tried temporarily duct taping over one outlet each when I got home and it was a noticable improvement. But duct tape on the outside of a tailpipe is a little tacky lookin....much worse than someone's custom air intake (sewer pipe and dryer vent-). :D

Re: Question on plugging a muff pipe to lower resonance
I use an exhaust pipe reducer with a metal sears lawnmower gas cap riveted to the small end. It slips inside tight comes out for the track. I put a small long bolt across to grap with pliers to get them out. They do pop out sometimes at WOT, but the tips of the B&B hold them.
I tried the pipe plug in the B&B and could not get the fit I needed!
