Default Brace location

Changing out the water pump on my wife's 91 coupe and when putting everything back, came across this brace. Can anyone tell me the location. I have the 91 books and I looked and I can't find it anywhere. I suspect that is part of the A/C compressor bracing but the picture in the manual doesn't show it. Thanks. This is a L98 motor.

I think it goes from the alt to the header

OR...

It goes from the power steering bracket to the header, or somewhere in that area

I think this one goes on the rear of the a/c compressor bracket to the 1st header bolt.

If I remember, you might have to un-do a coulle things to get it back in...there is little room to slip a bolt out and get this re-inserted.

I would NOT delay doing this...that compressor bracket is no longer made and its very easy to break. The engine torque jerks the compressor around and will cause the bracket to crack or break if its not secured at all the original points. The alt/PS pump bracket is the same way with a similar rear brace, but there are new ones made for that side. I also added another brace to the alt side because I could actually see the alt flex with engine torque....

Thanks. I found the location of it. It goes from the water pump bolt to the bottom of the A/C brace. I found some pics of it.
