85 A/C compressor help
I am trying to replace the a/c compressor in my corvette. I tried to remove it but I ran into a problem where I couldn't get a few of the bolts out of the bracket. I was wondering how to remove it. Do I have to take the valve covers off so I can remove the bolt, or do i have to remove the whole mounting bracket to remove it. Thanks for your help

You just undo the nuts on the waterpump studs and slide the bracket off without disturbing the WP.
Disconnect any compressor braces , remove the 2 nuts , undo the long bolt at bottom of compressor while pulling whole lot foward until bolt comes free.
Slide off WP studs and you have the whole lot out.
