I've got a '90 'vert. No matter how I adjust the "#5 Bow Latch Pins," the passenger-side pin pops out of the "Folding Top Latch Assembly." The pin's groove edge is still sharp and does not appear to be worn out. I have adjusted the cable so that there is no tension on the eye, allowing the spring inside the "F. T. Latch Asembly" to fully contact the Pin. Still no luck. If I lengthen the pin, then, the gasket around the top's corner doesn't contact the "Deck Lid", which causes a leak.
I realize that all convertibles have a certain amount of body/frame flex, but, this is crazy.
Is there a way to change out the spring inside the "Latch Assembly"?
Does anyone know who sells new "Latch Assemblies"?
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
