What is an expected, fair price for having the cats replaced? And, how do I know if I truly do need them replaced? Just the main? All three (precats)?

Thanks in advance!
All three cats cost me $520 out the door by a local muffler shop. I might have been able to do it myself and save money but I chose to have a shop do it because I was pressed for time. Besides, it's grunt work. Lying on my back and working up makes me grunt a lot whereas changing the injectors takes a little finesse and it's easier to bend down a little.
The exhaust sounds throaty now, like it has some authority.

To me this sounds electrical.

Maybe the module in the distributor.

Runs fine until it gets hot then breaks down under heat.

$55.00 you can get a better performing unit.
The Accel unit is 50 state legal.

I changed out the ignition control module, ignition coil, cap and rotor. Runs smoother but still bogs out. Weird that it is fine to go down the road about 1/2 mile but once I turn the car around, it then bogs out. I've seen people complain about their car doing similar behavior when they turn sharply. Any ideas?

It's not the floats!

I have an extra non computer, HEI distributor, maybe I'll pop it in and see what happens.

That would eliminate any electrical problems, then I could focus on the fuel injection.

Right now mine stutters on occasion then runs real good.

This doesn't happen often but when it does it's very pronounced.

GOT HER RUNNING!!! Changed out the fuel pump and sock....it apparently burned up due to a clogged inline filter and low voltage. Replaced the filter and fuel pressure relay couple weeks ago and now the pump and sock and she does not bog anymore!

Thanks to everyone for their advice and words of support!
