what color is your car.......
if its black or a darker color ghost flames look badass when there done right..........let me see if i can find some pics........
Ghost flames seem to be quite popular. Either that or add a pearl or flip flop to the paint you intend to use! I hate to sound like a broken record player..but an admiral blue to like a purple flip would be awesome!
Good luck, and I took a bunch of pics of my red to blue conversion. E mail me if you'd like them. EDM27@aol.com
IMO its not really something you can see real good in a picture, you have to see them in person, also, they look best on black. Sorry i couldnt find a vette, hopefully you get the idea.
Heres a link to a few pics after my car was repainted, there are some original pics in there too. Not everyone likes it, but that was part of the point I think!
A recent issue of Vette had a 96 LT4 the owner turned into his own version of a Grand Sport. It'a a Black Coupe, and instead of completely repainting it he left it the original color and painted the Grand Sport wide stripe down it. Not in White but in red. I wish I had some pics of it, maybe someone else here does, it really looks sharp. When I rotate back to the states and if I can find a reputable painter this is what I want to do with mine. Wish I'd thought of it first.
Check out my site...midnight blue pearl paint job. Most people think it's black until the sun catches one of the curves and you see the blue pearl. Very cool at night also under a street lamp it glows :D It's subtle but
Ghost flames, scallops, or stripes painted with pearl that appears only with bright sunlight is in. Flip flop paint is getting old school these days in my area.
my car had cracks in the hood and ground effects that will need to be reglassed and then painted, and am considering taking it to a whole new color...my first thoughts are always will it lower the end value of this car since its not original. Any thoughts there?
Secondly, what can I expect to pay for a very good but not killer, paint job? Minnesota area so it may vary, I realize, but...$2500? $3500? $5000?
