I bought the Computer Module Training book about a year ago just for this occasion. Now I can't find the %&#*%& thing.
Car started with a "Check Engine" light the other night. It ran OK. I ran it to the store. After parking for about 30 minutes, I had to crank it for about 10-15 seconds (normally it starts instantly), it idled like crap and stalled. I cranked again for 5-10 seconds and it started. No "Check Engine", it ran fine all the way home ( I ran it up to about 5K, no hesitation). Next day it started instantly, no "Check Engine", no problems.
I'll probably find that %&#*%& manual about 30 seconds after someone tells me the drill.

Re: How do I pull codes on a 94? (STL94LT1)
Here is quote from David-F from a couple of years ago:
You can't jump A to B on a 94 it uses a 16 pin ALDL connector you have to jump 4 to 12 which is the 4th from the left on the top row and the one just under it. Then turn the key on and watch the speedo were the speed is displayed and you will be able to read code in 1.1 CCM, 4.1 PCM(ECM), 9.1 ABS/ASR, A1 SIR..
