My 96 analog guage will get to 260, the digital guage will only get to 220, which one is most reliable?
Unless it's "pegged" all the way to the needle stop, it is not reading 260.
Look real close, and I bet the needle is just shy of the shaded area on the gauge.

My 94 coupe runs hot. DIC says 225 in traffic around 210 at speed. Had the car a couple of months. Outside temp low 90s. Is this normal for this model year?

225 in stop and go traffic is not at all unusual.
If your not moving, there isn't any airflow across the radiator fins unless the cooling fans are running.
And they don't come on until approx. 225-228 range (depends on year).
Running 210 at speed is not really normal, but depending on conditions it is possible.
At any speed above 40mph, there should be enough airflow across the radiator fins to keep the coolant temp in the 195-198 range.
