Default H pipe

I am putting Mid America's dual exhaust pipes on my 91. It does not come with an H pipe installed and I am going to put one in. Where do you guys think the best place to install it is? At the location where the original cat was or maybe at the back close to the mufflers like is on the cat back y pipe system made by Walker. I will not have any cats at all just pipes from the exhaust manifolds to the mufflers.

A pipe for balancing exhaust is always best to have as close to the headers as possible.

I would recommend you go with an x-pipe over an h-pipe. It's been proven that you achieve more gains with an x-pipe. As far as location goes, Lingenfelter says that its not as important where you put it, as it is the size of the pipe. :cheers:
