Engines need hot spark, spark at the right time, and spark going only to one spark plug at a time. When you wash an engine that has optispark you risk getting water into the optispark and the high voltage spark will not get to a spark plug until dry. Also, you should check fuel pressure, 35-42 psi and check for injector pulses with a noid light during cranking. If you have all that, then pull the flex connector to the air filter to be sure you are getting air into the engine (another requirement) and also check for cylinder compression. My money is on a wet optispark.
Thanks for replies, found out today that it was the optispark had to replace it WOW that isnt cheap lesson learned never again will spray cleaner on engine.Turns out since everything is torn down might as well change everything plugs wires etc.

Lesson learned. Where the heck is Jefferson, PA? I bet I can do the job cheaper but you have to get the car to me.
Jefferson is outside of York, thanks but it actually being put back together tonight should be done by Thursday morning, at least I still get to go to cruise week in OC
