Auto Trans Fluid Flush Report
The previous running temperature of the transmission was about 210-220. After a good 30 minute test cruise the digital readout reported a steady 196. That's a welcome change. It's probably subconscious but I think it shifts smoother, like right after I Zaino it. The fluid was $100 but that's cheap maintenance in your own garage I guess.
I will report back if it ruins my transmission in a thousand miles.
This is straight from the Man Gordon Killebrew. I didn't clamp the tubing on the line and had spillage.
Over-filling will be a major mistake. Add the last few slowly. Test drive and check level hot running.

Care to pay off on your tease? If Killebrew and I did something wrong help us out. I know your expertise level and am not trying to be a smarty pants. I just prefer to do things myself.

To do a fluid exchange is one thing, but to pump out, replace, and repeat makes me cringe. If you were here, I could pull out trashed pumps to illustrate the damage that could occur.
The thoughts of the hardened pump vanes grinding away on the soft aluminum pump housing makes me think Gordon should modify his recommendation.
*That is a politically correct way to say he should yank that video off you tube.
If I were doing a home fluid swap, I would unhook both lines. Using 2 new, clean, 5 gallon buckets, I would fill one with 12 quarts of fluid, start engine, and exchange the fluid.
***Not let it run dry.
Then, I would drop the pan, replace the filter, and add fluid to the pan.
Sounds like a better way to me. How often do you change your fluid and filter? I was told once a year is good for a street/occasional track Vette.
Now where's the video?
