I would like to know if anyone knows the resistance of the sensor behind the cats?

I am trying to bypass one of them and need to know what to do. Alabama has no emissions so I want my baby to be loud!

It can be removed without issues. Basically, it does NOTHING.

The LT1/4/5 cats flow extremely well. Unless you are going big...500+, you might see a 5hp improvement.

Stock block I am not boring it, LT4 intake with a bored 54mm throttle body, Pacesetter headers, A new cam not sure the specs on it! I will get the specs and put on here later. The heads are being ported and polished at the machine shop. Ummm new pistons just a stock rebuild kit. Cold air intake.

Skip the LT4 intake, you have an LT1. You can also run a thinner headgasket (Imp SS/Victor Reinz) to pick up a little power. Maybe a nice set of 1.6 roller rockers.

If it's been ported to match LT4 heads, it won't work.

My understanding is the LT4 intake has the same port location and dimensions as the LT1 intake. That being said if it was port matched to an LT1 head it might work. The LT4 head has a taller ceiling of the port, if the intake was matched to an LT4 head it won't work.

Maybe Jim "96GS#007" will chime back in. I'm sure he knows the answer.

Maybe he has an LT1 intake but someone stuck the LT4/granssport emblem on the throttle body?

Whats the PN stamped on intake manifold that should solve this mystery

You need to slow down and plan what you want to do before buying a bunch of parts.

Regarding the intake...

- Is it a GM LT4 intake (verified by looking at the p/n) or one of the Edelbrock LT4 intakes?
- Do you have a pic you can post?
- What type of port work has been done?
- Have you laid one of you old LT1 intake gaskets on the intake to see if the ports align?

"Ready, Fire!, Aim" is never a good approach and you're at risk that you're going to p!ss away a lot of money as a result.

Then why ask the question?

In addition, why in the world would you "cut them off" when they are bolt on? Unbolt them from the factory manifolds and add replacement pipes. Sell the cats for a few hundred dollars to help fund the rebuild.
