Default HELP!, I need a source for this electrical connector! Coolant Temp Sensor

I think I traced some of my coolant fan issues to this sensor, or at least the connector. Anyway the connector is broken and I think the prongs may be shorting out or not making good contact. The connector is the "coolant Temp Sensor" located in the front of the intake, just below the stat housing. It controls the ecm, screws in like the ones on the right and left heads, but is two wire connection. I've tried Ecklers, Corvette Central, TLD, and Mid-America. If anyone else finds a part number, please send it to me. I'll try the local GM house tomorrow, but if anyone knows the number I should be looking for, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,

On my 85 we replaced this last year. I THINK I found the correct part invoice but I won't swear to it so I won't give you the part number. We got it from the local dealer $10.50 and it was a snap to put on :)

Thanks Jenn,
I'll be looking that way tomorrow, I hope they have it in stock. Did you just splice the new wires with connectors, or replace the old broken plug only?
Did you get my IM on the compartment cover?
Thanks again,
Mike

I've had to replace several connectors in the past few weeks, on mostly newer vehicles, (Venture's, Malibu's etc.) and those have come with the connector, about 8" of wire (already in the terminals and in the connector), and the necessary heat shrink coated connectors. Real simple: cut, strip, crimp, and heat. Hopefully you'll find the same type of packaging.

The part number for the 2 wire temp sensor connector is 12101899 also called a Connector Replacement pack. $14 from the General.

NAPA should also have the connector.

MrVette,
If you could've found one for me that was broken or ready to break that would've been my first choice too.

When I break something I just gather up as many pieces as I can and take them to the local auto parts store, dump them on the counter and say I need one of these!

They quiz me for a minute or two then go back in the stacks and bring out 4 or 5 things. Then I just see what matches.

OOps, Rich, you caught me in one of those, "not what I say, what I mean" comments. If someone would've found one that wasn't broken or ready to break, that would've been fine too. I wasn't picky just in need.

It's a well-known fact that if you place your head too close to the monitor, the electron beam will erase all data in short-term memory...

...Wear aluminum foil around your head; this shields you from the electron beam...

...Works for microwave ovens, too... :yesnod:

... ...
