Vacuum lines. does it make a differance if......
they are the hard plastic, like stock. or if they are soft rubber tubing like wiperwasher stuff? I would like to get rid of all of the old brittle plastic lines and replace them with the rubber stuff.
Want to see if anyone else has done this.

I was able to locate the original plastic (nylon)tubing at Pep Boys. I was able to reuse all the old rubber end parts since the plastic is just a slip fit.
This assumes you don't want to change because you just hate the hard stuff.
Barrier :) :)

I like the hard stuff better. The rubber get soft when it gets hot and oil can break it down. It really should make any difference which you use.

I don't believe that it would make a difference. You can find the hard plastic stuff at Pep Boys or Checker/Kragen. The Checker close to me even had it in bulk. You can also use your heat gun or blow drier to heat it and form it to match the factory shapes.

I've recently switched to the rubber hose with no ill effects. Doesn't look as pretty but is a lot easier to work because it isn't as brittle. Good luck.
