My 84

was running perfect then all of a sudden start running real rough went from 20.8 per gal to 7.7 running real rough changed the idle air control valve three weeks ago been running perfect any suggestions woould be appreciated thanks

Probably an ignition issue. Check plugs, wires, and etc.

Pull the air cleaner & check the vacuum hoses for cracks, esp. the one to the map sensor. The t-body shafts like to leak vacuum, as does the to intake gasket.

i found a vacumn line off one of the carbs sure makes a difference thx a lot for the help gonna go check it out again thx Pete

went from 7.7 to 19.2 in 4 miles after i put the left vacumn line back on dang didnt know that made such a difference thanks alot for the info , i reckon i had a brain fart usually figure out everyone elses problems was thinking on mine again thx a lot runs like a raped ape now appreciate the info and sur like this site Pete
