Window Adjustment / Ribbon Help Needed

I replaced the ribbon today on the drivers side of my 1986 Corvette...

I traced the window bolt positions with a sharpy marker...

I assembled it all back... and when I ran the window UP... it was low by nearly an inch?

What gives... I think I have adjusted it so it is pretty decent now...

But my question is... why was I so far off... if I put everything back as close to humanly possible as it was to start?

could I have bent something, or missed something?

I did the same thing on my 86. I traced the adjustments I could get to. I just think there are to many adjustment points. I spent at least an hour get it adjusted properly.
