windshield installation instructions for 87 vette
I have replaced quite a few windshields over the years, but never an 87 corvette. can anyone give me any advice or important tips that will help me do this job smoothly with no problems ? Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

I have a crack in the corner so small that it is almost impossible to see. A friend of my owns a auto glass company talked to him about fixing it he said C4's are one of the few windshields he will not do. Did not get into a lot of details with him about it he just said they are a pain think he also said something about getting the right seal also not sure but know he wont do them.

Be careful with the three trim pieces. They are only available through the junk yards. I know, spent 3 months looking for them, couldn't find them. Finally found a guy who cut the windshield seal and then pulled the glass out the bottom. It worked, but not the best or correct way to do things.

Are all C4's problematic with the trim pieces? I have a '94 that has a small crack in the lower left hand corner. It was there when I bought the car and hasn't offered to get bigger, but would like to know in advance if I need to shop around for a glass installer. Thanks!
